What are the gate times at each of the terminals?

Before that question can be answered, you need to know something about the way the Port of Charleston is operated. The port has General Use Carriers and Contract Carriers. With the general users, the State Ports Authority is the owner and operator of the terminals and gates. The contract carriers are licensed to operate their own sections of particular terminals and operate their own gates.

The general user container gates at all terminals have flextime hours of 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and are open over lunch. The hours of operation at the contract carrier gates are set by the carriers directly, however standard straight time is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
